Come along and learn the art of chainmaille, with this session focusing on my go to: the byzantine weave.

You’ll learn how to work with individual metal rings to create your own piece of chainmaille, developing skills in opening and closing rings, following a weave pattern and building up the distinctive byzantine design.

By the end of the workshop you could have various lengths of chain, or create smaller chains to make keyrings, earrings or anything you desire!

it’s a hands-on workshop that’s all about patience, creativity and discovering how a simple collection of rings can become something really special.

this workshop is best suited to people who already have some experience using jump rings and pliers, as we’ll be working with small rings and focusing on the byzantine weave rather than the very basics of handling your tools. you don’t need to be an expert, just comfortable opening, closing and connecting jump rings.

no previous chainmaille experience is needed, but having some basic jewellery-making or jump ring skills will make the session much more enjoyable and accessible.

Sculpt your bug from polymer clay using various colours, tools and techniques. Then while it's baking, decorate a strike through box to house your new little friend. Once your bug is fully baked, add the finishing touches so it’s ready for your journey home.

Come along and make your very own custom beaded keychain trinket!

You’ll have a huge selection of new and recycled glass, acrylic and metal beads! choose from and clasps and phone charm attachments and create something that’s completely you!

Whether you want something colourful and playful, simple and subtle, or wonderfully chaotic, there are no rules when it comes to your design!

This workshop is a chance to learn and build your beading skills, including creating loops, attaching clasps and putting all the little pieces together. it’s also the perfect opportunity to freshen up your creativity, try something new and spend some time with other crafty people!

Join us this Sunday in celebrating Easter for a very fun session of decorating your own dinosaur egg!

A choice of 3 designs available - Velociraptor, Triceratops, and Pterodactyl. All designed and created in-house in our Maker Hub. Each kit is £6.

Features a fun open and closing mechanism. The kit comes in 3 parts, and is assembled using a bit of glue and a small nut and bolt to form the complete egg. And additionally the option to add some magnets to the back to display your finished art.
